Travel & Events Diary...

Talk about a great trip! We went in November 2001, shortly after the tragedies of 9/11. So there were not too many people flying then, and it wasn't packed with tourists everywhere we went. We already had the trip planned and paid for, otherwise we probably wouldn't have been traveling either. But in the end, it was good to get away. We got to go over to the Atlantis Resort, some did the one-man subs underwater, and swam with dolphins, and we took a booze-cruise to a few deserted islands, like the Pink Beach, that were just incredible. A few of us scuba'd with 7 ft. reef sharks on a wreck. I remember having one sneak up on me and whizz right by so close on my left, that I was able to reach out and touch his whole side and tail as he kept on truckin'. The almost daily visits to the "Conch Bar" with Big Dog the Bartender were so much fun too! Great fun, great travel-funsters, great friends. Just a great, great trip.
