Travel & Events Diary...
Jammin Jamaica Mon
As all our trips turn out to be, Jamaica October 2004 was a blast. Going to Hedonism III was a bit different. I have to tell the truth that I was a bit apprehensive about taking a group there. But some had suggested it years back and Virginia talked me into it, since she had recently gone to check it out with her daughter, and said it was a "kick". We were about a month or so past a big hurricane that hit the Caribbean, but fortunately Jamaica is a big enough island that the mountains protected the northern side, which was where we were going. So basically, it was still beautiful and untouched by any damage. So far, our Travel Karma always takes care of us. Hedo III had everything! And it was cheap! It was great getting to a place and being able to eat whenever and as much as you wanted. The same for the beverages. Plus, there were a couple great restaurants, that we fanagled reservations to make sure we went a couple times. I loved the Sushi! The upstairs Piano Bar was fun. The Midnight Disco was unique, to say the least. The pool was nice, and the outside activities like the trapeze, the free scuba, the snorkeling were all great. Now for the "naughty" side...well, if that was your fancy, then some checked it out (with some very amusing stories to be shared afterwards). One side was completely separate from the other. And if someone came to lunch in a see-thru top, well...you just didn't notice after awhile. I've been asked if we'd go back. Well, you had your chance...there's too many other places we haven't hit yet!
